2 1/2" x 12" Strawberry Pancake Custom Snare Drum

This drum is extremely sensitive, soft, easy to play and has a pretty wide tuning range. Excellent for auditions and concert use. Definitely One-of-a-kind!!! Details; 12” x 2.5”, 10 play Maple Keller shell. This drum started life as a custom short stack tom-tom built by Bison drums. Has the original aluminum Bison lugs and finish. I hand cut the snare beds, added the Floating Strainer Bridges, Pearl Triad strainer, 3 sets of the Pearl 13” Nickel wound cable, graduated tension snare wire sets that are exclusive to their pancake drum. New triple flange hoops, tension rods and a Remo Coated Diplomat. This version is $450 shipped to CONUS. UPGRADE #1; For $550 shipped CONUS; Replace the triple flange top hoop and Diplomat head with a Die cast hoop, add the DTS ( Drum Tuning System) and one of the last Remo coated M5 heads - brand new! (This size has been discontinued) The DTS makes it possible to change the tuning of the drum on the fly - in between excerpts or sections of music !!! Great for adapting to different performance spaces as well!! To really take advantage of the DTS, the new owner could use a calf/skin top head. The DTS allows you to bring the tension up/down evenly for playing and storage. No more tuning/retuning each individual tension rod every time you play. Especially handy for areas with drastic temp/humidity changes like here in Minneapolis. UPGRADE #2; $600 plus the cost of new snare wires - I will cut the 14” Pearl Philharmonic snare wires of your choice (3 sets) to fit this drum before shipping.
